ENROLLING NOW for academic year 2010/2011.

We are able to offer the GCSE programme as a part time or full time schooling programme.  This allows students to either attend ELC International School for their full education or study their GCSEs alongside their Spanish state schooling.  While the latter can be tiring for students attending a Spanish school, it is advised that your son or daughter obtain international GCSEs, so that, should they choose to return to the UK to go to college, they have the necessary qualifications to do so.

I.G.C.S.E. is a balanced international curriculum which is designed to encourage high academic standards through a practical approach to teaching and learning.  The curriculum consists of a course of study leading to an examination which is typically taken at the age of 16.  Successful students receive an internationally recognised qualification; the I.G.C.S.E. which is equivalent to the British G.C.S.E. examinations.  The curriculum provides an ideal preparation for higher level courses such as AS/A2 levels and the International Baccalaureate and for vocational training or employment.   I.G.C.S.Es are also recognised by universities in the UK as a qualification for matriculation/enrolment purposes.  Examinations are taken at The British School of Alicante.

Assignments
All homework assignments set are compulsory and while our teachers continue unswervingly to work hard to motivate and encourage students, parents also have a vital role to play in this respect.  They must ensure that their children put in the hours at home so that good results can be achieved.
